Tim Michels Facts
Tim Michels Supports a Radical and Dangerous Agenda for Wisconsin
We don’t have to guess what Tim Michels believes, because he’s already told us:
- Tim Michels supports banning abortions with no exceptions for rape or incest, he has even said it’s “not unreasonable” to force a pregnant rape victim to give birth, and supports a radical 1849 criminal ban on abortion that would lock up doctors.
- And Tim Michels has pledged to cut public school funding and supports an education plan that could raise property taxes by over half a billion dollars. He also said he would consider abolishing the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, and calls funding public schools, “the definition of insanity.” Meanwhile, he still hasn’t moved on from the last election and won’t rule out decertifying the 2020 election results as governor.
- Michels has spent months touting his business experience, but according to years of court filings, Michels’ company has a troubling record when it comes to sexual harassment and abuse in the workplace. Culture starts at the top, and Tim Michels owes Wisconsinites answers about the culture in his company.

RIG FUTURE ELECTIONS TO GUARANTEE REPUBLICAN WINS
Michels Promised “Republicans will never lose another election in Wisconsin after I’m elected governor”
According to The Washington Post:
Hinting at his plans to overhaul how elections are run, the Republican running for governor of Wisconsin this week said his party would permanently control the state if he wins.
“Republicans will never lose another election in Wisconsin after I’m elected governor,” construction executive Tim Michels told supporters Monday at a campaign stop.
Michels is seeking to unseat Gov. Tony Evers (D), who over his four years vetoed a string of Republican-backed bills that would have changed voting rules in a battleground state that Donald Trump narrowly won in 2016 and narrowly lost in 2020.
Michels has promised to sign similar legislation and has said he would restructure the state’s bipartisan elections commission. He has never spelled out what specific changes he would make to the commission, which is run by three Democrats and three Republicans.
Michels, who won his August primary with Trump’s endorsement, has left open the possibility that he would try to decertify the 2020 election in Wisconsin, which legal scholars say is impossible. He has declined to say whether he would certify the results of the 2024 election.
Is this the kind of divisive radical you want as your governor?
REPORT: Tim Michels’ Company Faces Serious Allegations of Sexual Harassment Under His Watch
CBS58: GOP governor candidate Michels’ construction company faced series of sexual harassment, racial discrimination allegations
According to a new report from CBS58:
“Female and minority workers who worked for a Brownsville construction company co-owned by Republican gubernatorial candidate Tim Michels were allegedly subjected to sexual assault and harassment, racial discrimination and a hostile work environment, according to federal court cases spanning over two decades.
“Most of the wide-ranging allegations in five lawsuits filed between 1998-2020 occurred on job sites in other states, with one in Wisconsin, while Tim Michels and his brothers ran the company. The Brownsville-based construction group employs more than 8,000 employees.
“All of the lawsuits were eventually settled, including some former employees signing non-disclosure agreements.
“Federal court documents reveal three former female employees separately sued Michels Corporation in 1998, and twice in 2012, claiming they faced repeated verbal and at times physical abuse, and some were pressured to have sex with male coworkers.
“The company was also sued by workers who were Black, most recently in 2020, over allegations of racial hostility including a report of a noose found near a jobsite. The Brownsville construction company currently employees more than 8,000 employees.”

TEENAGERS CAN BUY AR-15’S, WITH NO WAITING PERIOD
Tim Michels supports allowing teenagers to buy AR-15’s — with no waiting period.
Michels has blamed gun violence on people who did not report mass shooters earlier and when asked if he supports common sense measures like expanded background checks, Michels said: “I don’t have that answer today.”
Michels also fought against red flag laws by suggesting that abusers shouldn’t have their weapons confiscated because an “angry ex, ex spouse makes a complaint.” And falsely suggested these laws could take away firearms because someone could say, “Oh, he made a threat to me and then the police have to go confiscate his guns.”
